Our mission_

Why we're building Convert_

In 2015, Joris (co-founder) was working late at his creative agency, overwhelmed and underpaid. Over time, work compiled, and with that, the stress. He realized life was too precious for constant anxiety and decided to prioritize time over income, and earn just enough to sustain himself.

By working smarter, not harder, and living a balanced life, he improved productivity and quality of life without sacrificing his business.

Fast-forward a couple of years, our mission at Convert_ is to help people reclaim their time while earning more money.

We aim to bring freedom, adventure, creativity, and meaning to business owners by streamlining processes; and empowering them to do it themselves.

We want to create a world where the average person can build software to make their business run smoother.

~ Joris, Bas, Twan, Michel, Andres, Emma & Shane

Our values_

We're a team of creators

“Vakmanschap is meesterschap” (translated “Craftmanship is Mastery”) is an old Dutch saying that means being a master in your profession. We all feel an innate desire to reach this mastery in our profession.

Give bold ideas the chance they deserve

We value bold ideas over conservative approaches. Innovation and excellence come from taking risks, even if we occasionally lose some bets.

Allow everyone to fulfill their potential

Everyone at Convert_ is given the means and freedom to reach their full potential. Be it an engineer learning a new language, or a customer service rep learning marketing.

Perfect is the enemy of good

We give each other space to produce high quality results, and we should feel proud of what we make, even though there are constraints to be dealt with.

We have ownership and take initiative

We don't just point out problems or opportunities, and wait for others to tell us what to do. We're self-starters that identify them and get them done.

We're passionate about building software

We don't lose sight of the joy of building. We care deeply about what we're building, which helps us to produce and ship our finest work.

Be honest but kind

The hardest thing is to be upfront and honest. Doing this with grace and kindness is even harder. We ask for honest feedback and try to give it straight without attacking.

📍Working remotely from all over the world_

Freedom to work from anywhere allows for more meaningful work and a better quality of life.

We've always been a distributed company spread across Latin America, Europe and Australia. We mostly work async, and sometimes meet up in our Dutch co-working. This way of working helps us to focus on creating a high quality product, and to detach and live life how we want.
